Chanteuse folk-soul \u00e0 la voix captivante, Awa Ly est \u00e0 l’image de sa musique : en voyage perp\u00e9tuel. Fran\u00e7aise, d’origine s\u00e9n\u00e9galaise, ayant v\u00e9cu en Italie et aux Etats-Unis, Awa Ly a eu plusieurs vies autour d’un fil conducteur : la musique. Apr\u00e8s un passage dans une chorale en France et d’innombrables jams \u00e0 Rome \u2013 o\u00f9 elle a eu une carri\u00e8re d’actrice qui l’a men\u00e9e jusqu’\u00e0 Cannes -, la chanteuse polyglotte a accompagn\u00e9 l’iconique et regrett\u00e9 Pino Daniele sur une de ses derni\u00e8res tourn\u00e9es mondiales (2013). En parall\u00e8le elle s’est entour\u00e9e de points comme le contrebassiste Greg Cohen (Norah Jones, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Marianne Faitfull\u2026) et l’ing\u00e9nieur son Florent Livet (Cassius, Phoenix\u2026) pour d\u00e9velopper une musique jazz & blues avec des incursions folk, pop, voire carib\u00e9ennes sur son premier EP. A folk-soul singer with an enchanting voice, Awa Ly is just like her music: constantly on the move. After the highly acclaimed Five And a Feather (2016) and Safe And Sound (2020), she has just released her third album: Essence And Elements (May 2025).<\/strong><\/p>

Awa Ly, a Frenchwoman of Senegalese origin who has lived in Italy and the United States, has lived several lives around one common thread: music. After a stint in a choir in France and countless jams in Rome – where she pursued an acting career that took her as far as Cannes – the polyglot singer accompanied the late, iconic Pino Daniele on one of his last world tours (2013). Meanwhile, she surrounded herself with bassist Greg Cohen (Norah Jones, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Marianne Faitfull…) and sound engineer Florent Livet (Cassius, Phoenix…) to develop a jazz & blues sound with folk, pop and even Caribbean influences on her first EP.
